CVE:CVE-2026-116678 vulnerable 2026-11-03 10:15:21.571404 Vaultwarden: Icon endpoint SSRF fix bypass via second-stage favicon IP literal URLs
MEDIUM (5.8)
Vaultwarden is a Bitwarden-compatible server written in Rust. Prior to version 1.37.0, the Vaultwarden icon downloader validates the initial icon host and DNS results but passes favicon URLs parsed from attacker-controlled HTML to get_page_with_referer() without applying should_block_host() to the second-stage host. This flaw bypasses the remediation for CVE-2026-47160, which covered decimal, hexadecimal, octal, and IPv4-mapped IPv6 host normalization, because the second-stage IP-literal favicon fetch does not invoke the custom DNS resolver. A remote unauthenticated attacker can provide a public page whose favicon uses an IP-literal URL, allowing the Vaultwarden server to reach loopback or private and internal addresses. The issue affects instances with internal icon downloading enabled and can expose internal responses that resemble supported images or reveal reachability through timing, status, and cache behavior. This issue is fixed in version 1.37.0.

CVE:CVE-2026-95814 vulnerable 2026-10-13 12:28:40.494026 Vaultwarden through 1.37.3 Authorization Bypass via Missing Status Check
HIGH (8.1)
Vaultwarden through 1.37.3 omits organization membership status validation from three cipher access-restriction queries, allowing revoked and not-yet-confirmed members to retain read, write, delete, and attachment access to organization ciphers. Attackers with revoked or pending membership can exploit missing status filters in get_user_collections_access_flags, get_group_collections_access_flags, and is_in_full_access_group to access protected cipher data server-side.

CVE:CVE-2026-47164 vulnerable 2026-07-29 00:54:59.879353 Vaultwarden: SSO Email Auto-Link Can Bind an Existing Local Account to an Attacker-Controlled IdP Identity
HIGH (7.7)
Vaultwarden is a Bitwarden-compatible server written in Rust. Prior to 1.36.0, Vaultwarden's SSO login flow checked the IdP email_verified claim only for new-user creation and not when SSO_SIGNUPS_MATCH_EMAIL=true linked an IdP identity to an existing local account, allowing an attacker-controlled IdP identity asserting a victim email address to bind to and authenticate as that account. This issue is fixed in version 1.36.0.

CVE:CVE-2026-47160 vulnerable 2026-07-29 00:54:59.865212 Vaultwarden: Server-side request forgery (SSRF) via Icon Endpoint Decimal/Hex/Octal IP Bypass
MEDIUM (5.8)
Vaultwarden is a Bitwarden-compatible server written in Rust. Prior to 1.36.0, Vaultwarden's /icons/{domain}/icon.png endpoint used src/http_client.rs checks including should_block_address() and post_resolve() that missed decimal, hexadecimal, and octal IP representations, allowing SSRF through the icon-fetching HTTP client for blind internal network or port discovery. This issue is fixed in version 1.36.0.

CVE:CVE-2026-47159 vulnerable 2026-07-29 00:54:59.864966 Vaultwarden: Authentication Flow Information Disclosure in SSO Discovery Allows Organization Enumeration and Pre-Validation Token Exposure
Vaultwarden is a Bitwarden-compatible server written in Rust. Prior to 1.36.0, Vaultwarden's SSO discovery and pre-validation flow returned organization-related SSO metadata including organizationIdentifier values for arbitrary email addresses and allowed a valid pre-validation JWT to be obtained with only the discovered identifier, enabling SSO-enabled organization enumeration and authentication workflow abuse. This issue is fixed in version 1.36.0.
