CVE:CVE-2026-0894 |
vulnerable | 2026-06-08 07:47:13.455021 |
Content Blocks (Custom Post Widget) <= 3.3.9 - Authenticated (Author+) Stored Cross-Site Scripting via content_block Shortcode
MEDIUM (6.4)
The Content Blocks (Custom Post Widget) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's content_block shortcode in all versions up to, and including, 3.3.9 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied values consumed from user-created content blocks. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

Content Blocks (Custom Post Widget) <= 3.3.5 - Authenticated (Contributor+) Stored Cross-Site Scripting via content Parameter
MEDIUM (6.4)
The Content Blocks (Custom Post Widget) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the ‘content’ parameter within the plugin's shortcode Content Block in all versions up to, and including, 3.3.5 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

Content Blocks (Custom Post Widget) <= 3.3.0 - Authenticated (Contributor+) Stored Cross-Site Scripting via content_block Shortcode
MEDIUM (6.4)
The Content Blocks (Custom Post Widget) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's 'content_block' shortcode in all versions up to, and including, 3.3.0 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

Content Blocks (Custom Post Widget) <= 3.3.0 - Authenticated (Contributor+) Local File Inclusion via Shortcode
HIGH (8.8)
The Content Blocks (Custom Post Widget) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Local File Inclusion in all versions up to, and including, 3.3.0 via the plugin's 'content_block' shortcode. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to include and execute arbitrary files on the server, allowing the execution of any PHP code in those files. This can be used to bypass access controls, obtain sensitive data, or achieve code execution in cases where images and other “safe” file types can be uploaded and included.
