Huawei Mate 20

There is a path traversal vulnerability in some Huawei products. The vulnerability is due to that the software uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the software does not properly validate the pathname. Successful exploit could allow the attacker to access a location that is outside of the restricted directory by a crafted filename. The system does not sufficiently validate certain pathname from certain process, successful exploit could allow the attacker write files to a crafted path.

HUAWEI Mate 20 smartphones with versions earlier than 10.1.0.160(C00E160R2P11) have an improper authorization vulnerability. The software does not properly restrict certain operation in certain scenario, the attacker should do certain configuration before the user turns on student mode function. Successful exploit could allow the attacker to bypass the limit of student mode function. Affected product versions include: HUAWEI Mate 20 versions Versions earlier than 10.1.0.160(C00E160R3P8).

The attacker should trick the user into installing and running a malicious application with a high privilege, successful exploit may cause code execution.
